Nel campus della Bovisa &egrave; stato inaugurato &#8220;<strong>Velux Lab<\/strong>&#8220;, il primo edificio italiano a energia (quasi) zero. Una <strong>struttura intelligente<\/strong> ad <strong>alta efficienza energetica<\/strong> certificata in classe A Cened (con un consumo di 3,78 kw h mc\/anno).<\/p>\n<p>Questo building sar&agrave; per gli studenti e i ricercatori del Politecnico anche <strong>un laboratorio.<\/strong> Qui verranno monitorati i risultati delle ricerche grazie a un&#8217;innovativa rete di <strong>sensori wireless<\/strong> progettata dal Prof. <strong>Gianpaolo Dugola<\/strong> del Dipartimento DEI del Politecnico di Milano.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materiali isolanti riciclabili<\/strong>, <strong>pannelli in vetro<\/strong> riciclato, <strong>polistirene sbriciolato<\/strong> ricavato da sfridi triturati delle lavorazioni e pavimentazione esterna in <strong>legno di iroko riutilizzato<\/strong> contribuiscono alla <strong>riduzione dell&#8217;impatto ambientale dell&#8217;edificio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La particolare forma dell&#8217;architettura consente di <strong>proteggere le vetrate maggiormente esposte alla radiazione solare<\/strong> e allo stesso tempo favorisce la <strong>ventilazione naturale degli ambienti<\/strong>. Le falde di copertura a differente inclinazione integrano i<strong> lucernai<\/strong> in grado di garantire la corretta illuminazione dei locali convogliando negli spazi la <strong>luce zenitale<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;edificio sar&agrave; destinato ad attivit&agrave; di ricerca dei <strong>dipartimenti BEST<\/strong> ed <strong>Energia<\/strong> del Politecnico di Milano (guidati dai Prof. <strong>Marco Imperadori<\/strong> e Prof. <strong>Mario Motta<\/strong>) e sar&agrave; utilizzato come laboratorio anche per testare nuove tecnologie e materiali per l&#8217;efficienza energetica in edilizia e per <strong>lo studio della luce<\/strong> e ventilazione naturale.<\/p>\n<p>Concepito come un <strong>modulo sperimentale<\/strong> in cui la stessa forma consente una risposta &#8220;attiva&#8221; al mutare delle condizioni climatiche esterne, VeluxLab &egrave; anche un <strong>edificio modello<\/strong>, un <strong>prototipo per i building<\/strong> di prossima costruzione. &Eacute; gi&agrave; stato progettato a Bilbao (2007), Roma (2008) e a Milano.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>future of the Politecnico di Milano is &#8216;green&#8217;<\/strong>. The &#8220;<strong>Velux Lab<\/strong>&#8220;, Italy&#8217;s first near-zero energy building, was recently inaugurated at the Bovisa Campus. A <strong>smart construction <\/strong>with <strong>high energy performance <\/strong>certified by the Region of Lombardy (CENED) as a Class A building (consumption amounts to 3.78 kw h cbm\/year).<\/p>\n<p>The building will host the students and researchers of Milan&#8217;s prestigious Polytechnic University, plus a research <strong>lab.<\/strong> Here, research results will be monitored thanks to an innovative network of <strong>wireless sensors <\/strong>designed by Prof. <strong>Gianpaolo Dugola<\/strong> of the DEI Department of Milan&#8217;s Politecnico.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recyclable insulation materials<\/strong>, recycled<strong> glass panels<\/strong>, <strong>crushed<\/strong> <strong>polystyrene <\/strong>obtained from the grinding of materials in machining processes and outdoor flooring in <strong>reused iroko timber <\/strong>help to <strong>reduce the building&#8217;s impact on the environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The particular design of the architecture enables to <strong>protect the glass surfaces that are most exposed to sunlight <\/strong>and, at the same time, it enables the <strong>natural ventilation of rooms<\/strong>. The roofing has different slopes and includes <strong>skylights<\/strong> capable of guaranteeing the correct amount of light into rooms delivering <strong>zenith light<\/strong> into the space.<\/p>\n<p>The building will be used to carry out the research activities of the <strong>BEST<\/strong> and <strong>Energia<\/strong> <strong>departments <\/strong>of the Politecnico di Milano (headed by Prof. <strong>Marco Imperadori<\/strong> and Prof. <strong>Mario Motta<\/strong>) and will become a laboratory where researchers will test new technologies and materials for energy efficiency in buildings and for <strong>the study of natural<\/strong> <strong>lighting <\/strong>and ventilation.<\/p>\n<p>Conceived as an <strong>experimental module, <\/strong>with a shape providing an &#8220;active&#8221; response to the changes of external weather conditions, VeluxLab is also a <strong>concept building<\/strong>, a <strong>prototype<\/strong> for the buildings of the future.
