Parla così bene il francese che potrebbe sembrare nativo della Francia. Se non fosse per il nome, italianissimo. Adriano Caputo è un lighting design, nato e cresciuto a Roma, anche se nel suo curriculum sono molte le esperienze professionali all’estero, a Parigi.

Ed è ancora una volta la Francia e il design internazionale a premiare la professionalità e la bravura di Adriano Caputo: vincitore del prestigioso premio “Trophées Lumiville 2011 de la Conception Lumière“, un concorso indetto dalla ACE (Association des concepteurs lumière et éclairagistes) e da Lumiville, la fiera dedicata all’illuminazione urbana, uno degli appuntamenti fieristici più importanti a livello internazionale per chi si occupa di lighting, organizzata ogni anno a Lione.

Il designer italiano ha vinto nella sezione “Prix In Light Expo Espace Intérieur” per la migliore opera realizzata nel 2010: l’illuminazione del Gran Salone di Pietro da Cortona del Museo Nazionale di Arte Antica di Palazzo Barberini a Roma. “Quest’anno” racconta Caputo “per la prima volta sono stati premiati anche i progetti di lighting design d’interni”. Per partecipare al “Trophées Lumiville” non era sufficiente presentare il proprio curriculum professionale ma ai lighting designer in concorso è stata richiesta, oltre a tavole e disegni tecnici, anche una lettera d’intenti, a prova del fatto che i lavori fossero stati davvero commissionati; inoltre i progetti in gara dovevano esser stati compiuti e realizzati nel 2010, essere di alta qualità tecnica e avere un impatto ambientale minimo. Il lavoro di Caputo, oltre a rispettare questi canoni, è stato giudicato il migliore per le qualità estetiche, tecniche, economiche e per la sostenibilità di progetto. La giuria era formata da professionisti illustri: il Presidente del CDO Lumiville Jean Pierre Franceschetti, il Presidente di ERDF – Electricité Réseaux Distribution France, un rappresentante ACE e Jacques Fournier della Direction Eclairage Public de la Ville de Lyon.

And once more it is France and international design which are making an award to the professionalism and ability of Adriano Caputo, the winner of the prestigious prize “Trophées Lumiville 2011 de la Conception Lumière“, a competition set up by ACE (Association des concepteurs lumière et éclairagistes) and by Lumiville, the fair dedicated to urban lighting, one of the most important exhibition events at international level for those dealing with lighting and organized each year at Lyons.

Apart from complying with these requirements, Caputo’s work was judged the best for its aesthetic, technical and economic qualities and for its sustainability of design. The jury was composed of illustrious professionals: the President of the CDO Lumiville, Jean Pierre Franceschetti, the President of ERDF – Electricité Réseaux Distribution France, an ACE representative, and Jacques Fournier of the Direction Eclairage Public of the City of Lyons.
