Niente sfarzo, nessun lusso, design minimal e semplice per le stanze degli atleti nel Villaggio Olimpico di Londra. Linee pulite quasi in contrapposizione con le architetture d’impatto degli impianti olimpici, ma necessarie per garantire concentrazione e tranquillità.

I principi eco e sostenibili, fiore all’occhiello di questa edizione olimpica, si riflettono anche negli alloggi. Illegno domina negli arredi, ma anche nella pavimentazione in parquet. I colori sono tenui e delicati: ilmateriale naturale sposa il bianco delle pareti e il vetro. Scelte di stile che rendono gli ambienti più luminosi e accoglienti.

There will be no luxury rooms or glamorous resorts for the athletes staying at the Olympic Village in London, but only minimal and simple design. The clean-cut simplicity of the structure, contrasting with the massively impressive architectures of the Olympic venues, is necessary to guarantee focus and tranquillity.

Green and sustainable principles are the real achievements of this Olympic edition, also reflected in the athletes’ housing. Wood dominates the interior furniture and the parquet floors. Colours are gentle and delicate: natural materials are used next to white walls and glass: stylistic elements that were chosen to make the rooms brighter and more comfortable.

The latest-generation lighting project guarantee whiter light and lower energy consumption: recessed spotlights and LED fixtures were installed in the dorms and in the community room where the athletes can meet friends and family.
