A partire dalla fine di maggio fino al mese di luglio, Roma ospita la XXII edizione del Premio Compasso d’Oro ADI. Tutta la manifestazione, che comprende più mostre e la tradizionale cerimonia di premiazione, fa parte delle celebrazioni del 150° anniversario dell’Unità d’Italia.

Sotto il titolo di “Unicità d’Italia – Made in Italy e identità nazionale”, si terranno tre grandi mostre: una mostra storica presso il Palazzo delle Esposizioni che, per la prima volta, esporrà tutti i pezzi premiati con il Compasso d’Oro dal 1954 al 2008: il racconto della crescita del paese tra produzione, personaggi e cultura determinanti per lo sviluppo del Made in Italy.
Ancora, una doppia mostra ADI Design Index e XXII Compasso d’Oro, presso la Pelanda (la sede del MACRO, il Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Roma) al Testaccio, celebrerà la contemporaneità. Per la prima volta saranno esposti al pubblico i circa 400 prodotti pubblicati dagli annuari ADI Design Index dell’ultimo triennio.

Starting from the end of May and right through the month of July, Rome will be staging the 22nd edition of the ADI Compasso d’Oro Award. The entire event, which includes several exhibitions and the traditional award-giving ceremony, is part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy.

The event titled “Unicità d’Italia – Made in Italy e identità nazionale” (Italian Uniqueness – Made in Italy and Italian identity) will offer three main exhibitions; the first one will be an historical exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni that, for the first time ever, will display all the pieces awarded with the Compasso d’Oro prize from 1954 to 2008 to represent the story of the growth of a nation through the products, people and culture that contributed to the development of everything ‘made in Italy’.
The other two exhibitions are the ADI Design Index and the 22nd Compasso d’Oro event at La Pelanda (the home of the MACRO, Rome’s Museum of Contemporary Art) in the Testaccio district that will celebrate contemporary art. Here, and for the first time, the almost 400 works listed in the ADI Design Index in the last 30 years will be available to the public.
