F.P. Officina Meccanica, was founded in 1998 based on the 18 years’ experience of Mr. Paolo Franchini in mechanics. For many years, the company carried out slotting and broaching activities on a third-party processing basis.
Over time, lathing and CNC machining of mechanical parts was added to the company’s slotting and broaching activities. This also often meant producing internal keys, PTOs and internal gears. It takes a long time to perform these processes on traditional broaching and slotting machines because of the various set-ups that need to be carried out, and they are complicated because of frequent problems in relation to clamping parts and difficulties in obtaining the required level of precision. The need to overcome these problems and difficulties led to the idea of manufacturing an internal tool that would allow broaching directly on a lathe or CNC machining centre, tool that could be developed thanks to extensive experience in design using CAD CAM technology.

This is what led to the development of the “REV Broaching Tool” system. After years of design activities and a long period of internal testing, it was then launched on the market and offered to all companies wishing to overcome the same problems as our company encountered during broaching and slotting activities.
