BUON COMPLEANNO [TO]BIKE
Il bike sharing in Italia è ormai una realtà che si sta affermando con forza. Sono infatti sempre di più i comuni che decidono di offrire questo servizio ai propri cittadini per diminuire il flusso di traffico e fornire una valida alternativa all’automobile. Tra questi comuni c’è anche Torino, che proprio in questi giorni ha festeggiato il primo anno di attività di [TO]Bike, il servizio di bike sharing del comune piemontese.
Un’occasione per festeggiare il traguardo raggiunto ma anche per fare un bilancio del lavoro svolto in questi primi dodici mesi. Ai responsabili del servizio abbiamo chiesto un commento su questa importante iniziativa e sui risultati ottenuti. “[TO]Bike è diventato nei mesi una concreta alternativa all’auto di proprietà e un’efficiente mezzo integrativo del sistema di trasporto pubblico. Lo dimostra il fatto che l’utente tipo utilizza il servizio per gli spostamenti casa/lavoro o casa/studio. Fra le postazioni più utilizzate infatti troviamo quelle situate presso le stazioni ferroviarie (snodo degli arrivi dei pendolari con treno e metro) e dei poli universitari. Il fatto di aver colto la filosofia di un servizio di questo tipo è testimoniata dal fatto che circa il 75% degli spostamenti avvengono entro i trenta minuti gratuiti, consentendo così di avere sempre una bici a disposizione di tutti”.
La risposta dei cittadini è stata quindi positiva…“I torinesi hanno accolto il nuovo servizio di bike sharing della città con grande entusiasmo, sia in termini di adesione che di utilizzo quotidiano. Un’attiva comunità di utenti appassionati costituisce il grande motore di questo servizio che quotidianamente fa spostare in bici migliaia di persone”.
Da ultimo una nota positiva e “curiosa” sui riscontri ottenuti in questo primo anno di [TO]Bike:“Nell’analisi di questo primo anno di servizio – concludono i responsabili – un dato molto interessante ha catturato l’attenzione di tutti, a conferma che [TO]Bike è davvero una soluzione per tutte le esigenze di spostamento: il 16% circa dei prelievi avviene nella fascia oraria tra le 20 e le 6. Questo dimostra che il servizio di bike sharing torinese non solo offre autonomia e velocità di spostamento nel corso della giornata, ma consente di lasciare a casa l’auto anche la notte! Anche la movida, insomma, viaggia su due ruote”.
