A Parigi, nel cuore della città, spicca l’albergo Maison Champs-Elysées da poco inaugurato dopo il restyling curato dalla stilista francese Martin Margiela e l’architetto Danièle Darmon che hanno ottenuto un risultato semplice ma alla stesso tempo sofisticato dando vita ad un ambiente dall’interior design surreale e fiabesco. Una maison dove ritornare dopo un’intensa giornata di business o di shopping frenetico, comunque un luogo dove sentirsi un po’ a casa, come nelle nuove tendenze dell’hotellerie.
I tratti storici sono stati riletti con originalità, modernizzati in tono garbatamente ironico.
Il bianco quasi accecante della lunge si contrappone con il tutto nero del Cigar Bar, contrasti di luci e ombre convivono armoniosamente, specchi e illusioni ottiche sono protagoniste per creare nuovi concetti spaziali che confondono realtà e finzione.

In questo luogo delle meraviglie passato e presente si incontrano e si confondono creando un design unico, quasi teatrale, fatto di lusso e relax.

L’utilizzo delle tecnologie più evolute ha aiutato a mantenere lo charme antico introducendo note surrealiste; anche a livello di illuminazione, le luci a LED incorporate nei soffitti o nelle pareti creano effetti ottici altrimenti impossibili.

In Paris, situated right in the heart of the city, is the Maison Champs-Elysées hotel recently inaugurated after a massive restyling curated by the French designer Martin Margiela and the architecture Danièle Darmon who achieved a simple, yet sophisticated result by giving new life to an environment with a surreal and fairytale-like interior design. A luxury guesthouse where one can seek shelter after a busy day at work or shopping, and a place where guests can truly feel at home, in line with the current trend in the hotel sector.
The historic features were revised with a touch of originality, providing a more modern appeal and ironic twist.
The almost blinding white colour of the lounge creates a contrast with the all-black space of the Cigar Bar, contrasts of light and shades live together in harmony, mirrors and optic illusions are the protagonists and create new spatial concepts where reality and fiction merge.

In this place of wonders, past and present meet and intermingle, creating a unique design, almost theatrical, made of luxury and relaxation.

The use of the most advanced technology contributed in maintaining the ancient charm while introducing surrealist notes; even at the lighting level, the LED lights embedded into the ceilings or into the walls create optical effects that would be otherwise impossible to create.
