Tre cipressi, danno il benvenuto a chi arriva all’agriturismo Borgo Castello Panicaglia, svettante in cima un colle con vista sulla vallata che si allunga tra Nocera Umbra e Gualdo Tadino, dove si snodano la via consolare Flaminia e la strada che conduce ad Assisi, attraversando il Monte Subasio.
Un borgo-castello (Bene Monumentale privato vincolato dal Ministero dei Beni Culturali e architettonici) dove la quiete e la natura si fondono con note di design. La struttura si fregia di un mastio, due corti abitative, la capanna con il forno che nel passato approvvigionava di pane gli abitanti della zona, la chiesina di San Venanzio Martire, cornice suggestiva per romantici matrimoni e momenti di raccoglimento.
Visitando il Borgo-Castello, immersi nel silenzio di una campagna incontaminata, ci si accorge da subito del tocco vintage degli arredi e dei giochi di luce che, negli interni si fonde sapientemente con quella naturale penetrando soffusamente dai tagli delle mura e dalle finestre restaurate. Per quanto riguarda la parte dei giardini si è pensato ad un’ illuminazione radente e a terra, così da dare al borgo un allure di mistero e di storicità. La luce bianca dei faretti e dei globi restituisce, in modo soft, la visione del paesaggio notturno, senza creare effetti di luminescenza indesiderati.
In una location così particolare quello che la luce naturale crea durante le ore diurne è stato sapientemente raccolto per ricreare un ambiente sereno e accogliente, anche per le ore serali, dov’ è possibile però godere dell’effetto luminoso naturale delle stelle.

Three cypress trees welcome the guests of the agriturismo Borgo Castello Panicaglia, proudly standing on a hilltop location enjoying a wonderful view of the valley stretching from Nocera Umbra to Gualdo Tadino, where the Via Consolare Flaminia and the road to Assisi unwind, passing through Mount Subasio.
Borgo Castello Panicaglia (a renovated residence, today a privately-managed accommodation facility subject to the regulations of the Ministry of the Cultural and Architectural Heritage) is a place where peace and nature merge with elements of design. The structure has a tower, two dwelling courtyards, a hut with the furnace that used to provide bread to the ancient villagers, and the tiny church of Saint Venanzio Martyr, the perfect setting for romantic weddings and moments of meditation.
When visiting Borgo Castello Panicaglia, surrounded by the silence of an unspoilt countryside, you will instantly perceive the vintage touch of the furniture and the plays of light that, inside, perfectly blend with the surroundings penetrating softly from the slits in the walls and the restored windows. As for the outdoors, a ground lighting system was installed to give the place a sense of mystery, evoking its ancient history. The white light of the spotlights and globe fixtures gently reveals the views of the nightscape, without creating unwanted nightglow effects.
In this outstanding location, the effects of daylight are skilfully collected to reproduce a peaceful and inviting environment even during night-time, where one can enjoy the natural glow of the stars.
